Clinical Exercise Sessions

Clinical Exercise Sessions in Traralgon

We understand that exercise is important, but sometimes pain can get in the way – this is where we help!

Clinical exercise sessions at Momentum Physio and Rehab Group are run by a physiotherapist with small class sizes of 1 on 1 or 1 on 3, with a focus on individualising your sessions to your specific needs.

What are the benefits of clinical exercise sessions over standard training?

  • These sessions are designed to help you returning from injury or surgery, preparing for surgery or if you are wanting to become more resilient overall.
  • Be guided by a physiotherapist that understands your injury, plus how the human body works
  • These are not a one-size-fits-all program – we follow scientific and evidence-based principles to help you achieve your goal, in the most efficient and safest way possible.

Our Clinical Exercise Sessions focus on individualising your sessions to your specific needs.

We believe that you deserve;

1:1 session (30minutes or 45minutes)
These 1:1 sessions are designed for those patients that require 1:1 supervision, or those who feel more confident in a 1:1 setting.

1:3 subsequent session (45minutes)
These 1:3 sessions are designed for those patients that are a little more experienced with exercise and may not require 1:1 supervision, but still require guidance on their rehabilitation.

  • Osteoarthritis pain
  • ACL rehabilitation
  • Knee pain
  • Lower back pain

No. Although it might feel like you are performing the same exercise or similar exercise in your sessions, strength gains are made by making small modifications each session over a period of time, instead of making big changes each session.

Because sessions are run by a physiotherapist, they are claimable under your private health insurance. Although, we recommend checking with your specific private health insurance to avoid disappointment.

It has been shown that exercising in a group can improve outcomes versus exercising alone. Exercising in a group setting also allows for motivation, communication and allows you to observe other people that might have a similar injury to you, exercising and back to what they love doing.

It is important to have a 1:1 initial assessment, or a few 1:1 subsequent sessions to fully assess your specific requirements, improve confidence if needed and allows for more guidance.

For most people and injuries, they only require a period of 12 weeks to see progress, however some people will require longer depending on their physical activity history, injuries, goals or general health. Most people go on to continue their sessions as they find so much benefit in their program.
